How the Express Entry System Works?
Express Entry is an online system that IRCC uses to manage applications for permanent residence from skilled workers.
Step 1: Check your eligibility
In this step, you may either answer a range of questions mentioned on the portal or read the eligibility requirements for each program.
Step 2: Gather your documents
You need a range of documents while creating an expressing entry profile, including language test results, education credential assessment report, and other supporting documents to prove that you are eligible for the immigration program.
Step 3: Submit your profile
Express Entry profile feeds all information about the applicant. If you are eligible, you will be accepted into the pool of candidates.
You’ll be ranked in the Express Entry pool using a point-based system. Your score is based on the information in your profile.
Step 4: Get an invitation and apply for permanent residence
IRCC holds immigration draws in every two weeks of a month. Invitations to apply are sent to the highest ranking candidates in the pool. If you receive an ITA, you’ll have 90 days to submit your application for permanent residence.
