On 3rd June 2019, the Pilot was extended for another year – till 2020 – to ensure that tech employers in the province can continue to fulfill labor requirements by offering jobs to talented overseas workers. Launched in 2017, the BC PNP Tech Pilot attracts and retains skilled workers from other countries, who possess valid job offers from BC employers in the 29 technology occupations that are in-demand in the province’s tech industry, as well as tech entrepreneurs who can create jobs for the BC population in this sector.
